Our Founding Attorney

As the current President of the Houston Lawyers Association, Élan exemplifies legal leadership and community service in action. Her latest venture as an Associate Municipal Judge marks a new chapter in a career dedicated to accessible justice.

Attorney Moore-Jones has returned to her first solo venture, Moore Jones Law, PLLC, which she boldly launched immediately after passing the bar. After co-founding another law firm and dedicating five years to that venture, Élan continues to charter her own path and works work zealously to protect her client’s interest.
Élan's legal foundation was built at Texas A&M University School of Law, where she led the Black Law Students Association as president and distinguished herself as an award-winning moot court competitor. Her academic journey began at Prairie View A&M University, where she earned her degree in English Studies with a minor in African American Studies.
Service runs in her DNA—following the example of her mother's ongoing commitment to service organizations and her father's groundbreaking work as Dallas's first African American Urologist. This legacy continues through her service on the Board of Trustees at Moore Impact, Inc. and her prior leadership in the Dallas legal community. Élan is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she remains committed to service to all mankind.
While her professional accomplishments are numerous, Élan considers her most important role to be that of a loving wife and mother.
